Born in Tbilisi, Georgia, pianist Mariam Batsashvili gained international recognition after winning First Prize at the 10th Franz Liszt Piano Competition. Batsashvili has released two solo albums for Warner Classics and has been an official Yamaha Artist since 2017.
As a BBC New Generation Artist, she made her debut at the Cheltenham Festival and has performed with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, and the Ulster Orchestra at the BBC Proms. Mariam Batsashvili is a scholarship holder of the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben and is supported by The Keyboard Charitable Trust.
