VC Artist Anne Luisa Kramb Appointed Principal Second Violin at the DSO-Berlin
Kramb previously held an academy position in the Berlin Philharmonic's renowned Karajan Academy
VC Artist Anne Luisa Kramb has won the audition for the Principal Second Violin position at the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin (DSO Berlin).
Kramb studied with Antje Weithass at Berlin's Hanns Eisler University of Music Berlin, having previously studied at the Kronberg Academy and the Würzburg University of Music, among others. In 2023, Kramb joined the Berlin Philharmonic's renowned Karajan Academy.
She is a previous winner of the German Music Competition (DMW) in Bonn, as well as the Telemann Competition in Poznan (Poland), the Mendelssohn Competition in Kronberg, and the Bacewicz Competition in Lodz (Poland).
In 2016, Kramb was also a prize winner in the renowned Menuhin Competition in London and first prize winner in the International Spohr Competition in Weimar, where she also won two special prizes. In September 2017, she received the Manhattan Music Competition Prize.
As a chamber musician, she has appeared frequently with pianist Julius Asal, in such venues as the Konzerthaus Berlin, the Philharmonie Berlin, the Philharmonie Kyiv, the Elbphilharmonie, Carnegie Hall, and the Laeiszhalle Hamburg.
