Atlanta-Based Vega String Quartet Name New 1st Violinist

The Vega String Quartet has today announced the appointment for Elizabeth Fayette as their new 1st violinist

The Vega String Quartet has today announced the appointment for American violinist, Elizabeth Fayette as their new 1st violinist.

A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music and The Juilliard School, where she studied with Arnold Steinhardt, Shmuel Ashkenasi, Pamela Frank and Sylvia Rosenberg, Libby is a former prize winner at the Ima Hogg Competition and the Young Concert Artists International Auditions.

She will join violinist Jessica Shuang, violist Yinzi Kong and cellist Guang Wang.

The quartet currently serves as Quartet-in-Residence at the Emory University, in Atlanta - having previously served as Artists-in-Residence with the Van Cliburn Institute and Carnegie Hall’s New York City Neighborhood Concert series.
