Violin Society of America Names Jury for 2024 Convention and Competition
The VSA's 50th-anniversary convention will take place in Indianapolis from November 17 to 24
Founded in 1973, the Violin Society of America (VSA) is a non-profit organization that promotes the art and science of making, repairing, and preserving stringed musical instruments and their bows.
In 2024, the VSA will host its 50th instrument and bow-making convention, as well as its 25th international competition, in Indianapolis from November 17 to 24.
The VSA recently announced the jury for its competition, with details to follow regarding competition registrations. The 2024 VSA International Competition Artisanship Judges are as follows:

Anyone who shares an interest in stringed instruments and their bows can become a member of the VSA. Its competition for new instruments and bows takes place in even-numbered years, while the convention — which comprises lectures, exhibits, concerts, trips, and other activities — takes place annually.
In collaboration with Oberlin College, the VSA also holds an extensive collection of books relating to the violin, and also sponsors a number of workshops each year.
