Violinist Alexander Sitkovetsky Signs with Nordic Artists Mangement
The Russian-British violinist will receive representation in the Nordic countries
Russian-British violinist Alexander Sitkovetsky has recently signed with Nordic Artists Management for representation in the Nordic countries. He appears regularly in the region, performing with orchestras such as the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra and the Aarhus Symphony — as well as at chamber music festivals in Helsinki and Stavanger.
Born in Moscow into a musical family, Alexander Sitkovetsky made his solo debut aged eight — and that same year, moved to the United Kingdom to study at the Menuhin School. During this time he performed alongside Yehudi Menuhin on multiple occasions.
He has made solo appearances with ensembles such as the Tonkünstler Orchester, the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra, and the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra, as well as directing orchestras such as the Romanian Youth Orchestra, Detmold Chamber Orchestra, and Leopoldinum Orchestra Wroclawand.
An enthusiastic chamber musician, Sitkovetsky is a founding member of the Sitkovetsky Trio, and also a permanent member of the Julia Fischer Quartet.
He is also much in demand as a director and has performed with smaller groups in this capacity — including the Australian Chamber Orchestra, the London Mozart Players, and Camerata Zürich.
Run out of Copenhagen, Nordic Artists Management began as a small agency catering only to Denmark's capital and has since expanded to the wider Nordic world. Other violinists on their roster include Isabelle Faust, Chloë Hanslip, and VC Young Artist Johan Dalene.
