VC Artist Violinist Augustin Hadelich Signs with KD Schmid for General Management

Hadelich will receive general management from Enrico Fischer and North American management from Ann SunHyung Kim

German violinist Augustin Hadelich has restructured his management arrangements, signing with KD Schmid for general management. Previously, the management company had only represented him in Europe and Asia.

Hadelich's general manager will be Enrico Fischer, KD Schmid's Associate Director. He will be represented in North America by Ann SunHyung Kim, who joined the company as recently following seven years at New York's Primo Artists.

Other violinists on KD Schmid's roster include Baiba Skride, Arabella Steinbacher, and Daniel Lozakovich.

Described by colleagues as "the musician's musician," Italian-born German-American violinist Augustin Hadelich is a recipient of the prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant, Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowship, and the 2015 Warner Music Prize.

A graduate of The Juilliard School, Augustin is a former first prize winner at the Indianapolis International Violin Competition.

In 2016, he was awarded the Grammy Award for "Best Classical Instrumental Solo," for his recording of Dutilleux’s Violin Concerto with Ludovic Morlot and the Seattle Symphony Orchestra — and he was honored by Musical America as the 2018 "Instrumentalist of the Year."

In 2022, he was appointed to the violin faculty of Connecticut's Yale School of Music and serves as the Artist-in-Residence of the WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln. In June 2023, he will join the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra on a concert tour to South Korea.
