Violinist Chloé Kiffer Joins University of North Texas Faculty
The French violinist Chloé Kiffer is the newest member of the faculty at the University of North Texas (UNT) College of Music, where she has been appointed Assistant Professor. She will continue in her other role at Manhattan School of Music, where she is on the violin and viola faculty in the school's pre-college division.
Alongside her work in Manhattan, Kiffer has taught and given masterclasses internationally — including at the Miami Music Festival, the Heifetz International Music Institute, the Beijing International Music Festival and Academy, Chamber Music International in Texas, and MusicAlps in France.
Kiffer began her studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris. She then moved to the United States, studying at the Manhattan School of Music with Patinka Kopec and Pinchas Zukerman, before continuing on to Stony Brook University, where she received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree.
In 2019, Kiffer recorded an album of the Ravel violin sonatas with pianist Alexandre Moutouzkine. In the early days of the pandemic, the pair also recorded a VC Living Room Live performance, which you can revisit below:
