Prizes Awarded at London's Royal Over-Seas League String Competition
Violinist Eleanor Corr has been awarded 1st prize in the String Division of the 2020 68th Royal Over-Seas League Music Competition
Violinist Eleanor Corr from the United Kingdom has this week been awarded 1st prize in the String Division of the 2020 68th Royal Over-Seas League Music Competition - in London.
A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music where she studied with Clio Gould, Eleanor will receive £5,000 - plus an advancement to the annual competition's Gold Medal Final at London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall on the 1st of June, this year.

This year's other string finalists were violist Julie Park, violinist Samuel Staples and cellist Maxim Calver.
The annual bursary is open to all instrumentalist 30 years and under with Commonwealth citizenship.
The 2020 jury comprised: Gavin Henderson, Geoff Parkin, Hannah Roberts and Rodney Slatford.
