Violinist Elina Vahala Appointed to Vienna University of Music Teaching Faculty

The Vienna University of Music has announced the appointment of Finnish violinist Elina Vahala to its teaching faculty
The Vienna University of Music, in Vienna, Austria has this week announced the appointment of Finnish violinist Elina Vahala to its teaching faculty – effective from October of this year.
A graduate of the Sibelius Academy, Lahti Conservatory and the Kuhmo Violin School, where she studied with Zinaida Gilels, Ilya Grubert, Seppo Reinikainen, Pertti Sutinen, Tuomas Haapanen and Pavel Vernikov, Vahala is a former 1st prize at the Young Concert Artists International Auditions, in New York.
She currently serves Professorships at the Hoschule fur Musik Detmold and the Hoschcule fur Musik in Karlsruhe.
