Violinist Emily Sun Joins the Roster at Percius Management
Australian violinist Emily Sun joins violinists Rachel Podger and Jack Liebeck at Percius Management.
Born in 1991, Sun was the 2016 recipient of the Royal Overseas League's Commonwealth Musician of the Year award and won the 2018 ABC Young Performer of the Year competition.
She also received the Tagore Gold Medal in her final year at the Royal College of Music, where she studied with Itzhak Rashkovsky. Prior to this, she completed her undergraduate study with Dr. Robin Wilson at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
In 2022, Sun has upcoming recordings and concerto engagements with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, as well as the London Mozart Players. She will also premiere a newly commissioned concerto.
Sun's solo CD entitled "Nocturnes," was released on the Australian label ABC Classics/Universal, was at number one on the Australian classical charts for four weeks, as well as being shortlisted for the Best Classical Album at the ARIA Awards.
