Violinist Hyeyoon Park Signs With Askonas Holt

The South Korean violinist has now joined the agency for general management 

The Askonas Holt agency has now welcomed violinist Hyeyoon Park to its roster for general management, where she will be represented by Ignatius Sokal and Chiara Fahy-Spada.

Park made her orchestral debut at the age of nine with the Seoul Philharmonic, and at age 17, she became the youngest winner of Munich’s 2009 ARD International Music Competition. 

She has since performed with the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, London Philharmonic Orchestra, hr-Sinfonieorchester Frankfurt, Stuttgarter Philharmoniker, NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Orchestra of Mariinsky-Theatre St Petersburg, NHK Symphony Orchestra, and BBC National Orchestra of Wales.

This season will see her debuts with the BBC Symphony Orchestra and conductor Kristian Sallinen, the City of Birmingham Symphony, and the Cape Town Philharmonic. 

She will also make return engagements with the Multi-Story Orchestra, and with the London Philharmonic Orchestra for two performances of Beethoven’s Violin Concerto — a chamber version of which she also play-directs on tour with Sinfonia Cymru. Additionally, she will tour China with pianist Juho Pohjonen with a program that includes Debussy’s Violin Sonata.

Her upcoming chamber music projects include a tour of Europe with long-time collaborators Kian Soltani, Timothy Ridout, and Benjamin Grosvenor, with whom she will also give recitals at Norway’s Risør Chamber Music Festival.

Recent highlights include acclaimed performances with both The Hallé Orchestra and Royal Northern Sinfonia alongside Sheku Kanneh-Mason and Grosvenor in Beethoven’s Triple Concerto. 

Hyeyoon is a recipient of the Borletti-Buitoni Trust and the London Music Masters awards, plus is an Ambassador for Music Masters — a UK charity that widens access to high-quality music education for children of all ages, with a particular focus on UK communities facing systemic inequality or disadvantage.
