Violinist Melissa White Joins Dinin Arts Management Roster
White will make her recital debut at Carnegie Hall in June 2023, and has recently been named the Joyce C. Willis Artist in Residence with the Hartford Symphony Orchestra
Founded in 2016 by Director Sarah Dinin, Dinin Arts is currently based out of Milwaukee, and in 2022, welcomed Vera Wilson, founder and former President of Astral Artists, as the Artistic Consultant.
On the Dinin Arts roster, violinist Melissa White will join violinist Arnaud Sussmann, violist Paul Neubauer, cellist Tommy Mesa, pianist Henry Kramer, plus the Borromeo String Quartet and Verona Quartet, among others.
A first-prize laureate in the Sphinx Competition, White has performed as a soloist with ensembles such as the Cleveland Orchestra, the Boston Pops, the Louisville Orchestra, and the Atlanta, Baltimore, Colorado, Detroit, and Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestras.
She has also performed internationally with Poland’s Filharmonia Dolnoslaska, the Colombian Youth Orchestra on tour, and the Czech National Philharmonic.
A multi-genre artist, White has also played alongside several pop artists including Pharrell, Bruno Mars, Alicia Keys, and Lauryn Hill.
This season, White gave her Phillips Collection debut recital with pianist Pallavi Mahidhara and looks forward to her Carnegie Hall solo recital debut recital later this month.
A founding member of the New York-based Harlem Quartet since 2006, she also performs with Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective, including a June 2023 collaboration at Wigmore Hall with star violinist Hilary Hahn, as well as the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra and the DUBHE Ensemble.
White currently serves as a Professor of Music at SUNY Buffalo and as Music Artist Faculty at New York University’s Steinhardt School.
White is also the co-founder of Intermission, a groundbreaking program that unites body, mind, breath, and music-making through yoga and meditation tailored for students and retreats for professionals.
