Violinist Seohyun Kim Signs With HarrisonParrott
Kim, who won the 2023 Tibor Varga International Competition at age 14, has joined the agency for worldwide general management
At HarrisonParrott, the South Korean violinist Seohyun Kim will be represented by Romain Blondel for worldwide management.
In 2021, Kim won first prize in her age category at the Ysaÿe International Music Competition and the Leonid Kogan International Violin Competition. She was also the youngest winner of the 2022 Cooper International Competition and the 2023 Tibor Varga International Competition.
She has since played solo with the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, Basque National Youth Orchestra, Canton Symphony Orchestra, as well as several Korean orchestras such as the Korean National Symphony Orchestra and Seongnam Philharmonic Orchestra.
In chamber music, she has played with Gidon Kremer, Miklós Perényi, Lawrence Power, and Julia Fischer. Upcoming collaborations include those with Daishin Kashimoto, Alessio Bax, and VC Artist Clara-Jumi Kang.
Kim’s recent projects have included an acclaimed performance of the Sibelius Concerto at the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra’s New Year’s Concert led by Jaap van Zweden in 2025.
In 2026, she will tour with the WDR Sinfonieorchester in Germany and South Korea, performing the Brahms Double Concerto with cellist Daniel Müller-Schott alongside conductor Andris Poga.
Currently studying with Sunny Lee at the Seoul Central Conservatory, Kim is also a Larsen Young Artist. She plays on a 1753 G.B. Guadagnini violin, generously loaned by the Tibor Varga Family.
On HarrisonParrott’s roster, Kim joins violinists Alena Baeva, Randall Goosby, Daniel Lozakovich, and the 14-year-old Lilja Haatainen, who was also recently signed by the agency.
