Two Artists Sign with Monica Felkel Creative Partners

Violist and Composer Nokuthula Ngwenyama and conductor Na’zir McFadden will receive general management

Monica Felkel Creative Partners (MFCP) recently announced the addition of two new artists to its roster: violist and composer Nokuthula Ngwenyama, and conductor Na'Zir McFadden. They will both receive general management, effective immediately.

In the early part of her career, violist Nokuthula Ngwenyama won both the Primrose International Viola Competition and the Young Concert Artists International Auditions. She has appeared as soloist with the Baltimore Symphony, Cincinnati Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, National Symphony, New Jersey Symphony, Nuremberg Philharmonie, Phoenix Symphony, and the Oregon Mozart Players.

As a composer, Ngwenyama has had works performed by the Detroit Symphony, London Symphony, Chicago Symphony, and Los Angeles Philharmonic, among others, with her chamber works having been performed in North America, Africa, and Asia.

Presently the Assistant Conductor and Phillip & Lauren Fisher Community Ambassador of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, American conductor Na'Zir McFadden also serves as Music Director of the Detroit Symphony Youth Orchestra.

McFadden was recently named as one of the Tanglewood Music Center Conducting Fellows for 2024. As part of this role, he will lead the TMC orchestra in a range of performances, as well as taking part in masterclasses with conductors including Andris Nelsons, Alan Gilbert, and Dima Slobodeniouk.
