Violist Sarah McElravy Signs with Raab & Böhm
The Canadian violist will receive general management from the Viennese agency
Talent agency Raab & Böhm represents artists such as Antoine Tamestit, Julian Rachlin, and Sir András Schiff.
Upon signing with the Viennese talent agency, Canadian violist Sarah McElravy said, "I am incredibly honored to be included on their roster with so many unbelievable artists."
As a soloist, McElravy has appeared with orchestras such as the Helsinki Philharmonic, the Prague Philharmonia, the Warsaw Philharmonic, and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, among others.
She also frequently appears in double concerti alongside her husband, the violinist Julian Rachlin, and together they recently gave the UK premiere of the Penderecki Double Concerto — alongside conductor Alexander Joel and the Royal Northern Sinfonia.
An avid chamber musician, McElravy was a founding member of the Linden String Quartet (2009-2014), which served as the Fellowship Quartet-in-Residence at Yale University and completed teaching residencies at several other universities.
McElravy plays on a 1791 Ferdinando Gagliano violin, as well as a 1785 Lorenzo Storioni viola — which is loaned to her by the Dkfm. Angelika Prokopp Privatstiftung in Vienna.
