VC Artist Timothy Ridout Awarded Inaugural €10,000 Hamburg Symphony Prize
VC Young Artist Timothy Ridout has been awarded the 2020 inaugural 'Jeffrey Tate' Memorial Prize
It has been announced this week that 24-year-old British violist, VC Artist Timothy Ridout has been awarded the 2020 inaugural 'Jeffrey Tate' Memorial Prize - in memory of the late English conductor who passed away in 2017.
Presented by the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra, in Hamburg, Germany, Timothy will receive €10,000 - to be used toward career advancement opportunities.
A graduate of London’s Royal Academy of Music and the Kronberg Academy where he studied with Martin Outram and Nobuko Imai, Timothy is a former 1st prize winner at the Lionel Tertis and Cecil Aronowitz International Viola Competitions.
