Local Conductor Ward Stare Announced as Music Director of Rochester Philharmonic

31 year old Rochester-born, American conductor Ward Stare has been announced as the new Music Director of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra.
A former Principal Trombonist with the Lyric Opera of Chicago Orchestra, Stare served as Resident Conductor of the St Louis Symphony Orchestra from 2008 to 2012.
He will replace Norwegian Music Director Arild Remmereit - who was controversially dismissed from the position, by management in January 2013.
