This, the first in the newly-launched ‘With Nicky’ series, violin virtuoso Nicola Benedetti takes it 'back to basics' - addressing stance, violin hold, bow hold and warm up exercises.

“Mastering the basics of learning any musical instrument is such an important area and one that shouldn’t be rushed …” the Scottish-born soloist has said.

“Developing comfort, flexibility and relaxation is something I believe to be of the utmost importance to being able to play naturally and with expression …” she has said.
