Wittenberg Artists Integrates into Intermusica New York
Established in 2020, the boutique agency will be integrated into Intermusica's new American subsidiary
The Intermusica management agency recently announced that it would launch a new, US-based subsidiary — which will use the trading name Intermusica New York. As part of this expansion, the boutique agency Wittenberg Artists will be integrated into the new subsidiary.
Martin Wittenberg, who founded Wittenberg Artists, will serve as Director of the new subsidiary and will bring his colleague Rachel Feldhaus — who becomes an Associate Manager.
Wittenberg will also bring many of his artists with him, including Earl Lee, Lionel Meunier, Naomi Woo, Stella Chen, Steven Isserlis, and Seth Parker Woods.
The new agency will be situated just off Columbus Circle and will work closely with Intermusica's other operations in London, Berlin, and Munich.
Wittenberg Artists was founded in 2020. Martin Wittenberg previously worked for the New York agencies Alliance Artist Management and Columbia Artists — and guided the careers of musicians including Gidon Kremer, Vadim Repin, Jordi Savall, Christian Zacharias, the Venice Baroque Orchestra, and Spektral Quartet.
"I am deeply grateful for your support of Wittenberg Artists over the last four years, and I can’t wait to continue our collaboration as Intermusica New York," said Martin Wittenberg. "Please do be in touch and we look forward to seeing you soon, in New York or on the road!"
"The North American market continues to be of great importance to Intermusica, and we see a tremendous opportunity to expand upon our success in growing international careers in the US and Canada with a new permanent base in New York," said Stephen Lumsden, Intermusica's founder and chief executive.
"While we have had a strong presence in North America for many years, this new venture headed up by Martin Wittenberg, will be invaluable to us in extending and deepening our relationships with promoters across the continent, sharing on-the-ground knowledge, and discovering and supporting the greatest of talents on both sides of the Atlantic, working closely with leading orchestras, opera houses, concert halls, festivals and creative partners generally."
