Young People’s Chorus of New York City Names Board of Directors Chair

Michael Fraccaro of Mastercard will step into the role

The Young People's Chorus of New York City (YPC) has announced that Michael Fraccaro, the Chief People Officer at Mastercard, will serve as the new Chair of the choir's Board of Directors. Fraccaro succeeds Adam Chinn, who had served in the role since 2012.

Fraccaro is originally from Australia and holds qualifications in education and communication management. Alongside his role at Mastercard, he is considered a public thinker, frequently publishing articles and appearing on podcasts on topics such as the future of work, leadership & succession, people analytics and insights, and cultural transformation.

Fraccaro has significant boardroom experience and has served on the SHRM Executive Advisory Council, the Board of the HR Policy Association, 50:50 Women on Boards, the NY Jobs CEO Council, and HR50.

Directed by Francisco J. Núñez, YPC provides children from all cultural and economic backgrounds with the opportunity to access music education through choral singing. In 2023, YPC won five gold medals – three as World Champions – at the 12^th World Choir Games in the Republic of Korea.
