The 12 Semi-Finalists have today been announced at the 2018 Schoenfeld International Cello Competition – in Harbin, China.
The 2018 Semi-Finalists are:

- Irene Enzlin (Netherlands)
- Jérémy Garbarg (France)
- Rustem Khamidullin (Russia)
- Anastasia Kobekina (Russia)
- Dora Kokas (Hungary)
- Mon-Puo Lee (Spain)
- Jonas Palm (Germany)
- Gunwoo Park (South Korea)
- Florian Pons (France)
- Anton Spronk (Netherlands/Switzerland)
Open to cellists of any nationality, the 1st prize winner will receive US $30,000.
The 2018 jury comprises: Jean-Jacques Kantorow (Chair), David Geringas (Chair), Ole Bøhn, Andrés Cárdenes, Anne Gastinel, Karine Georgian, Rudolf Koelman, Kun Hu, Grzegorz Kotow, Jakob Kullberg, Alexander Markov, Amit Peled, James Tennant, Raphael Wallfisch and Raimund Trenkler.
As the competition’s official 2018 international media partner, The Violin Channel will be providing exclusive rolling-coverage – live from the venue.
Former prize winners include: Julian Schwarz, Christoph Croisé, and Ja-Kyoung Huh.
