American violist Valerie Heywood has passed away – aged 67

American violist Valerie Heywood has passed away – aged 67.

A graduate of the University of Michigan and The Juilliard School, Valerie served Principal and Associate Principal Viola positions with the Buffalo Philharmonic for more than 35 seasons.

In addition, throughout here career she performed with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Con Brio Ensemble, Virtuosi Ensemble, New York City Opera and the American Symphony.
