English-born American conductor and composer Andrew Massey has passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer - aged 72

English-born American conductor and composer Andrew Massey has passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer - aged 72.

A graduate of Oxford University, throughout his five decade conducting career he held principal positions with the Toledo Symphony Orchestra, Fresno Philharmonic, New Orleans Philharmonic and the Rhode Island Philharmonic.

Our condolences are with Maestro Massey's family, friends, colleagues and students.
