Applications Open For Carnegie Hall’s Ensemble Connect Program
Applications for the two-year paid program for music graduates will close on December 2, 2024
Ensemble Connect is a fellowship program of Carnegie Hall, The Juilliard School, and the Weill Music Institute, in partnership with the New York City Department of Education.
Open to applicants internationally, this part-time paid fellowship program holds auditions biennially for flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, trumpet, trombone, percussion, piano, violin, viola, cello, and bass.
The program aims to select exceptional performers who are passionate about integrating education, community engagement, advocacy, and entrepreneurship into their professional careers.
During the two years of the program, fellows will engage in weekly professional development sessions with acclaimed artists, and participate in a residency at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York.
On average, fellows will spend around 20 hours per week for 40 weeks from mid-September to mid-June for two consecutive seasons.
They will also receive a stipend of $37,600, health benefits, and access to the program’s rehearsal and performance facilities.
Alums of Ensemble Connect have gone on to perform in more than 100 ensembles in the U.S. and around the world. Others are also founders of non-profit organizations, hold faculty and guest artist teaching positions, and much more.
Prospective fellows must have at least an undergraduate degree or its equivalent by September 1, 2025, however a graduate degree is preferred.
