Association of British Orchestras Conference to go Virtual
The annual conference will be held online for the first time from March 10-12th, 2021
As the major gathering of the classical music industry in the United Kingdom, it hosts around 350 representatives from worldwide orchestras, venues, funding agencies, agents, publishers and supplies.
Topics to be discussed include diversity, advancing an anti-racist orchestral model, a post-pandemic music industry, responding to Brexit, the future of classical music, and more.
The Association of British Orchestra's website reads, "Delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s ABO Conference moves for the first time online for an in-depth look at the challenges the orchestral sector has faced in this most unprecedented of years. Can we look forward to a brighter future, what does recovery look like, and what are the steps for getting there?"
