Baltimore Symphony Begins New Outdoor Free Concert Series

The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra's (BSO) outreach initiative brings classical concerts to the masses, with three free performances outside of the traditional concert venue setting.

At the helm of the podium is Assistant Conductor Jonathan Rush, who, at the first concert, will conduct works by Carlos Simon, Joseph Bologne, and Samuel Coleridge-Taylor in recognition of Black History Month. The performance will take place at New Shiloh Baptist Church on February 22 at 7 p.m.

The second and third concerts will be held at the B&O Railroad Museum on April 26 at 7 p.m., and at the Patterson Park Observatory on June 1 at 6:30 p.m. respectively. The latter two concerts will include a combination of classical favorites paired with pop music arranged by Wordsmith, a spoken word artist.
