Munich University of Music Announces New Double Bass Professor

The Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich has announced the appointment of double bassist Alexandra Scott to the school's teaching faculty

The Hochschule für Musik und Theater, in Munich, Germany, has today announced the appointment of British double bassist Alexandra Scott to the school's teaching faculty - effective from October 2020.

A graduate of the Menuhin School, Royal Academy of Music and the Berlin Philharmonic Karajan Academy, Alexandra currently serves as Co-Principal Double Bassist with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra.

She is a founding member of the period instrument ensemble, L’accademia giocosa - and has served as a coach for the Gustav Mahler Academy, the German Youth Orchestra and the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain.
