American cellist André Emelianoff has passed away from a degenerative condition - age 78
American cellist André Emelianoff has passed away from a degenerative condition - age 78.
A graduate of The Juilliard School, where he studied with Leonard Rose, Channing Robbins, Luigi Silva, Leonard Shure and Robert Mann, Mr Emelianoff served as a member of the New York Chamber Symphony, Albany Symphony, Music Today Ensemble and the Da Capo Chamber Players - and held teaching positions on faculty at The Juilliard School and Bard College.
Our condolences are with Mr Emelianoff's family, friends, colleagues and students.
