SAD NEWS | St Martin in The Fields Cellist Martin Loveday Has Died From Coronavirus [RIP]

British cellist Martin Loveday has died due to complications from the COVID-19 Coronavirus and his cancer treatment

British cellist Martin Loveday has died due to complications from the COVID-19 Coronavirus and his cancer treatment - aged 62.

Martin performed as a longtime member of the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, the Pleeth Cello Octet, the Astarte Session Orchestra and the London Session Orchestra.

Thorughout his four decade career, he performed and recorded a wide range of genres - including pop, jazz, folk, classical and film soundtracks.

Our condolences are with Martin's family, friends, colleagues and students.
