The Southern Methodist University’s Meadows School of the Arts has announced the appointment of violinists Chad Hoopes and Alexander Sitkovetsky to its faculty

The Southern Methodist University’s Meadows School of the Arts in Dallas, Texas has this week announced the appointment of violinists Chad Hoopes and Alexander Sitkovetsky to its faculty - effective from the commencement of the 2020-2021 academic year.

Chad will serve as a 'Professor of Practice' - and Alexander as the School's new Artist-in-Residence.

A graduate of the Kronberg Academy, where he studied with Ana Chumachenco, Chad is a former 1st prize winner at the Menuhin Competition – and a former Avery Fisher Career Grant recipient.

A graduate of the Yehudi Menuhin School, Alexander is a former recipient of a Lincoln Center Emerging Artist Award.

“We are all excited about these new additions to our distinguished Music Division faculty ... these hires demonstrate the division’s continuing commitment to the finest string instruction possible,” School Director David Mancini has this week said.
