The Southern Methodist University’s Meadows School of the Arts in Dallas, Texas has this week announced the appointment of violinists Chad Hoopes and Alexander Sitkovetsky to its faculty – effective from the commencement of the 2020-2021 academic year.

Chad will serve as a 'Professor of Practice' – and Alexander as the School's new Artist-in-Residence.

A graduate of the Kronberg Academy, where he studied with Ana Chumachenco, Chad is a former 1st prize winner at the Menuhin Competition – and a former Avery Fisher Career Grant recipient.

A graduate of the Yehudi Menuhin School, Alexander is a former recipient of a Lincoln Center Emerging Artist Award.

“We are all excited about these new additions to our distinguished Music Division faculty … these hires demonstrate the division’s continuing commitment to the finest string instruction possible,” School Director David Mancini has this week said.
