American conductor, Charles R Ellis has passed away from cardiac arrhythmia - aged 67.
A graduate of Indiana University, the New England Conservatory and the Peabody Conservatory of Music, he served a long-time Music Directorship with the Prince George’s Philharmonic Orchestra, in Baltimore.
His guest-conducting appointments included performances with the Baltimore Symphony, Syracuse Philharmonic, Columbus Symphony, Florida Symphony, Charlotte Symphony and the Savannah Symphony Orchestra.
Our condolences are with Mr Ellis’ family, friends, students and colleagues.
