American violinist Catherine Lange-Jensen has passed away after a lengthy battle with ovarian cancer – aged 55.

Mrs Lange-Jensen served as the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra's Associate Principal 2nd Violinist for 29 years - and taught on faculty at Northern Kentucky University.

Our condolences are with her family, friends, colleagues and students.
