City of Birmingham Symphony Announces New Principal 2nd Violinist

The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra has today announced the appointment of Australian-born violinist, Kate Suthers to the position of ‘2nd Violin Section Leader’ – effective from May 2016.

A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, where she studied with Gyorgy Pauk, Kate has served Guest Principal roles with a number of British orchestras – including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.
