Composer and Electronic Music Pioneer Joel Chadabe has Died, Age 82

A pioneer in the development of electronic music and interactive music systems, Mr. Chadabe created the first major Moog Synthesizer studio at SUNY Albany

The founder of the software company Intelligent Music, he also established the Electronic Music Foundation, a non-profit organization that aims to "increase public understanding of the role that electronic music, in its myriad forms and technologies, plays in our world."
As a pedagogue, Mr. Chadabe was named professor emeritus at the University at Albany and was also a faculty member at Bennington College, Manhattan School of Music, and New York University.
