Armenian violinist Sergey Khachatryan performing composer Vago Zakaryan's newly-premiered Violin Concerto - with conductor Eduard Topchyan and the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra.

Premiered on the 25^th of September, 2018 at the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall – in Yerevan, Armenia.

“When the main theme was created, the piece itself dictated its natural development ..." Vago has told The Violin Channel.

"When it came to the composition of the cadence, I realized that the piece should be a cohesive, integral structure ... the cadence does not create the sense of finality, but rather suggests future decisions ...” the composer has said

“This was my first time collaborating with Sergey ... I certainly took into account his original thinking, especially his performance of Beethoven's and Shostakovich's concertos ... It helped me to find a suitable decision for the last movement of this work.”
