American conductor and french hornist Andrew J. McMullan Jr has passed away - aged 95

American conductor and french hornist Andrew J. McMullan Jr has passed away - aged 95.

Maestro McMullan performed for 21 years as a member of the Portland Symphony's french horn section - and went on to serve as long term Music Director and Principal Conductor of the Maine Opera Association.

“We all knew him to be a highly organized and driven individual, who was able to accomplish whatever he set out to do ... ” his daughter Kathy Kopani has today said.

“He was a generous man, who loved his family very much,” she has said.
