Primo Artists New York has announced the signing of New Zealand-born conductor Gemma New to its roster
Primo Artists New York has today announced the signing of New Zealand-born conductor Gemma New to its roster - for general management, effective immediately.
A graduate of the Peabody Institute of Music and the University of Canterbury, Gemma previously served as a Dudamel Conducting Fellow with the Los Angeles Philharmonic - and currently serves as Music Director of the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra and Resident Conductor with the St. Louis Symphony.
The 32-year-old will take up the position of Principal Guest Conductor with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra from the commencement of the 2019/2020 season.

Primo Artists' roster also includes superstar violinists Itzhak Perlman, Joshua Bell and Nicola Benedetti, pianists Beatrice Rana and Seong-Jin Cho - and conductors Cristian Măcelaru and Christian Reif.
