The Philharmonie Südwestfalen has announced the appointment of 37-year-old German-Egyptian conductor Nabil Shehata as its new Music Director

The Philharmonie Südwestfalen, in Hilchenbach, Germany, has today announced the appointment of 37-year-old German-Egyptian conductor Nabil Shehata as its new Music Director.

A former 1st prize winner at the ARD International Double Bass Competition and former Principal Double Bassist with the Berlin Philharmonic, Nabil has served as Music Director of the Munich Chamber Orchestra since 2011.
