The Bochum Symphony has announced the appointment of Taiwanese conductor Tung-Chieh Chuang as its new Music Director
The Bochum Symphony Orchestra, in Bochum, Germany has this week announced the appointment of Taiwanese conductor Tung-Chieh Chuang as its new Music Director – effective from the commencement of the 2021-2022 season.
A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music and the Hochschule fur Musik Franz Liszt in Weimar, Tung-Chieh currently serves as Principal Conductor of the National Taiwan University Symphony Orchestra.
The 38-year-old is a former prize winner in the Jeunesses Musicales Bucharest International Conducting Competition, the Gustav Mahler Conducting Competition and the International Sir Georg Solti Conducting Competition.
