Swiss violinist Thomas Furi has passed away - aged 70

Swiss violinist Thomas Furi has passed away - aged 70.

A student of Max Rostal and Ivan Galamian, he served as Director and Leader of the Camerata Bern from 1979 to 1993 - and held a long term Professorship on faculty at the Hochschule für Musik Basel.
