Scottish-American violinist Hugh Ewart has passed away - aged 93

Scottish-American violinist Hugh Ewart has passed away - aged 93.

A graduate of the University of Illinois and the Juilliard School, Mr Ewart served as Concertmaster of the Oregon Symphony Orchestra for more than 30 years.

In addition, he served long-term teaching positions on faculty at Reed College, Pacific University and Multnomah College.
