BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA – An online GoFundMe campaign has today been launched to raise support for Australian violist, Belinda Williams - following the tragic car accident on Monday that claimed the lives of her partner, Queensland Symphony Orchestra violinist Stephen Phillips, and her two sons.
The family of 5 were holidaying in New Zealand, on Monday, when their rental car collided at force with a delivery truck.
Stepfather, Stephen (54), Jasper (14) and Reuben (12) were all killed instantly.
Belinda and her 9 year old daughter, Tessa, remain in Waikato Hospital in a stable condition.
Stephen had served as a 1st violinist with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, in Brisbane, Australia, since 1987.
Belinda has freelanced with the ensemble since 2002.
