Hungarian-born composer, pianist, oboist and conductor Georg Arányi-Aschner has passed away - aged 96

Hungarian-born composer, pianist, oboist and conductor Georg Arányi-Aschner has passed away - aged 96.

Throughout his lifetime he composed over 500 works - including 5 symphonies, 3 trios, 2 string quartets and a violin and cello concerto.

Professor Arányi-Aschner served a long term teaching position on faculty at the University of Music Graz, in Austria.
