Grand Teton Music Festival Extends Runnicles’ Contract

Conductor Donald Runnicles' contract as Music Director of the Grand Teton Music Festival is extended for five more years
Concurrently, he is the Music Director of the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Principal Guest Conductor of both the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
Since his relationship with the Grand Teton Music Festival began in 2005, Runnicles has performed in concerts as both a conductor and pianist.
“These years with the extraordinary GTMF Festival Orchestra have been a defining period in my life, both musically and personally," he said. "I’m grateful for the board’s support, thrilled for the future, and incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together."
The Festival plans to have a full, seven-week summer season, beginning in July of 2021.
