Schedule Announced for 2015 Hannover International Violin Competition

The opening round competitor order for the 2015 Hannover International Violin Competition, in Hannover, Germany has been announced – including VC ‘Young Artist’ Richard Lin.

For the preliminary round, each candidate will present 2 recitals - featuring 2 movements from a Bach Solo Sonata, a Ysaye Solo Sonata and Joachim's 'Romance' No. 2 and a Beethoven Sonata and violin showpiece of the candidate's own choice.

Open to violinists of any nationality, aged between 16 to 27, the 1st prize winner will receive €50,000 (US $57,000), a CD recording on the Naxos label, the 3 year loan of a Giovanni Battista Guadagnini violin, and a number of important international performance opportunities.

Previous 1st prize winners including VC ‘Young Artists’ Alexandra Conunova and Dami Kim.
