Italian conductor and musicologist Alberto Zedda has passed away in Pesaro, Italy - aged 89

Italian conductor and musicologist Alberto Zedda has passed away in Pesaro, Italy - aged 89.

A specialist of the 19th Century Italian repertoire, he conducted many of the operas house of Italy, Paris, Vienna, Berlin, London and New York - and served as Music Director of the Festival of the Itria Valley and the Pesaro Festival.

Our condolences are with his family, friends, colleagues and students.
