American cellist and composer Jody Ellis has passed away from natural causes - aged 92

American cellist and composer Jody Ellis has passed away from natural causes - aged 92.

Ms Ellis co-founded the Santa Fe Community Chamber Music Orchestra, in New Mexico, USA - in 1982.

“I will always think of her as a stout, humorous and sprite person … she was such a mover — she got things done,” ensemble co-founder Anne-Lisa Cohen has told local media.

Our condolences are with Ms Ellis’ family, friends, colleagues and students.
