Juilliard Announced as World’s Top University for Performing Arts

The QS World University Rankings has today announced The Juilliard School as the world’s top university for the performing arts – with a total aggregate score of 98 out of 100.

Aimed to help prospective students identify the world’s leading schools in their chosen field, each ranking is based on a college’s academic reputation, employer reputation and research impact.

The University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and London’s Royal College of Music were named number 2 and 3.

London’s Royal Academy of Music was awarded 5th place, the Sibelius Academy 7th – with Indiana University ranked number 10.

The Curtis Institute of Music, the Hochschule fur Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin and the Tchaikovsky Conservatory placed in surprising 13th, 20th and 27th positions.

THE QS rankings are based on 44,426 survey responses from graduate employers worldwide.
