All 2020 Kronberg Academy Events Cancelled Due to Coronavirus
The Kronberg Academy has announced the cancellation of all of its 2020 major events – due to the ongoing threat of the COVID-19 virus
The Kronberg Academy, in Kronberg, Germany, has this week announced the cancellation of all of its 2020 major events – due to the ongoing threat of the COVID-19 virus.
This year's scheduled 'Cello Masterclasses & Concerts' and ‘Masters in Performance’ festivals will not take place.
The 2020 Emanuel Feuermann International Cello Competition will now be postponed until 2022.
“This decision, which was taken in agreement with our project partners, was extremely difficult for us ... it has a severe impact on us all ..." Kronberg Academy Founder and Chairman Raimund Trenkler has this week said.
"Nevertheless, after careful consideration we came to the conclusion that our events are not viable under the current legal conditions, particularly from an artistic perspective but also in economic terms ... likewise, we are responsible for the health of our artists, our audiences and our team," he has said.
